The Final Boss – Bowser Concept Art

The Final Boss is a Tribute to Bowser! Probably the first real boss fight most of us remember but he seemed way scarier back when I was a child… I decided to give it a try and reimagine what Bowser could look like. Nintendo will probably never make a game like this but that’s what Concept Art is for, if we can imagine it – we can draw it!

Here’s a preview of all the Stages. Starting from top left I began with a Sketch that should already have the proper mood. I added colors, gave it some light effects and mid-way decided that this needs a Princess! I added Princess peach and started rendering the details. Slowly but surely painted all areas until we have Bowser, Super Mario and Pricess Peach.

I posted this to Reddit see what reactions it would get. I was not disappointed! Within 24 hours it had over 50,000 Upvotes and hundreds of Awards – I can now go to Reddit Ad-Free apparently!?
